Building a successful business in
network marketing revolves around building solid relationships with the
people we choose to work with. To be able to do this it is
important that we realize that no two people are the same, we are all
born with our own set of strengths and weaknesses and we all have different thoughts and feelings on any given topic.
To
be able to work successfully with people we need to be able to build
rapport with them because it enables us to communicate in a more relaxed
and effective way. This is not always as easy as it sounds and there
are many variables as to why. One of these variables is the unique personality traits we possess.
We
should never underestimate the power of personalities because our particular personality trait is the
reason we all act, express, learn, live and communicate the way we
do. If we can identify a persons personality type we can then adapt our
own style to be more compatible.
We will now have a greater appreciation of who we can be more direct to, who to be more sensitive to, when to liven up and make thing more exciting or know when to get down to the knitty gritty and be more analytical and figures orientated.
This understanding will help build rapport and
allow others feel comfortable around us and, as a result, they are more
likely to participate in conversation and to listen to your thoughts and
ideas.
There are 4 major types of personality traits that
people display. It is said that everyone has a mix of all 4 but there
is always one that stands out or is a more dominant personality than the others.
Green/Melancholy. Introvert, Analytical, talented and creative, self sacrificing, idealistic, wants everything done right, perfectionist, neat and tidy, economical, problem solver, deep concern for other people.
Red/Choleric. Extrovert, born leader, strong willed and decisive, unemotional, establishes goals, delegates work, thrives on
opposition, has little need for friends, is usually right, organizes well.
Blue/Sanguine.
Extrovert, life of the party, enthusiastic and expressive, talkative,
story teller, cheerful, creative and colorful, inspires others to join, thrives on compliments, likes spontaneous activities,
Yellow/Phlegmatic.
Introvert, easy going and relaxed, quiet but witty, sympathetic and
kind, is not in a hurry, can take the good with the bad, avoids conflicts, good listener, has many friends, doesn't get upset easily.
This
is by no means an extensive review of the personalities but a simple
guide as to some of the signs to look out for. For further information
