Electromagnetic fields or EMF for short are basically fields or frequency's given off from electrical appliances, gadgets, power poles, mobile phones, power points or wiring. For a better explanation click here.
I have an interesting story to tell about electro magnetic fields and how I figured out how they were effecting my well being and Ithink this story needs to be shared because a lot of people are also suffering from poor sleep and fatigue and this could be one of the main reasons why.
How I discovered EMF was influencing the way I was feeling both physically and mentally. Firstly I work in an underground coal mine and a part of the requirements for working in those conditions is that all electrical equipment no matter how big or small must comply to a standard so that no spark can be omitted causing any gasses that may be present in the atmosphere in the work place to ignite and result in an explosion.
These electrical devices include watches. One type of watch that is permitted is an automatic watch that uses springs and a series of gears to operate the watches movement instead of the more common battery style to power the movement. So what has this watch got to do with anything? Well this is where it gets interesting.
As part of working at the mine you work a 7 day on and 7 day off roster and you stay at an accommodation camp when rostered on. When I wake up from my sleep I sometimes find that my watch has gained around 20 minutes, I noticed this happening at least 3 days sometimes 4 days out of the 7 days I am rostered on to work. I could not figure out why this was happening so I decided to get some assistance from google.
After typing in the brand and type of watch (Seiko 5 Sports
Automatic) and the problem that was accuring, I came across some
information that stated the watch should be accurate to within
+-20seconds per day and that the only way an automatic watch will gain
20 minutes per day is if an electromagnetic field is introduced to the
main spring of the watch, again you ask what has this got to do with how
After having this happen time after time whenever I was at the camp, I
also noticed something else that was happening to me. I
noticed that every time my watch was 20 minutes fast after sleeping I
also woke up with a headache, I felt hungover and felt like I
hadn't had any sleep at all. My mind was so groggy I could not think
properly, my energy levels were non existent and I was not motivated to
do anything especially not get out of bed and get ready for work. I
would literally struggle to put one foot in front of the other at times.
I would wake up just before my alarm or wake up to my alarm and without
much effort I could get out of bed feeling like the sleep had done me
some good, I would have energy, my mind was relatively clear and I had
the motivation to go to the gym for exercise, read a book or do some odd
jobs, nothing seemed to be too much of a challenge.
So this was how I was able to work out what was happening to me in a roundabout sort of way.
