DETOXING YOUR BODY

Detoxing or detoxification, is the body's natural, ongoing process of neutralising or eliminating toxins from the body through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. The human body can become toxic or polluted from the things that we consume and from our polluted environments.

Toxins Having to many toxins in your body can lead to a range of symptoms including tiredness, weight gain, behavioural problems, lowering of emotions, lowered immune system and skin conditions.

There are 2 area's where toxins are linked to, which are Environmental related toxins and Internal Source toxins.

Environmental toxins can be anything from inhalation of smoke and air pollution, chemical residues on food, chemicals from paints, plastics, furnishings, pesticides, deodorants, detergents and many other house hold products just to name a few.

Internal sources of toxicity can develop from drugs, undigested foods, dehydration, malnutrition and from poor diet containing too much animal protein, saturated and trans fats, too much caffeine, alcohol, soft drinks, junk food, processed foods and unfiltered water.

The effect toxins can have on our bodies shows in our general fitness and health. They can make you feel sluggish and stressful, your body may experience continuous aching, diarrhoea or constipation, or lethargy and clumsiness. Rapid weight gain and the inability to lose excess weight easily can also be signs of having toxins in the body.
